On September 21st, in collaboration with PwC Israel, we held the third installment of our round-table series, “Doing Business Globally,” with a lunch discussion on the legal and tax issues that arise when investing in Brazil. This exclusive event was geared towards companies and investors that are doing business or considering doing business in Brazil and featured Fabiano Gallo, Senior Corporate Partner at Campos Mello Advogados, our affiliate in São Paulo, Brazil. Fabiano discussed the current business and legal environment in Brazil, especially in the wake of President Dilma Rousseff’s impeachment and the problems that occurred during the summer Olympics in Rio. We were also privileged to be joined by Roy Rosenblatt-Nir, Chairman of the Israel-Brazil Chamber of Commerce, who gave an overview of the current business arena in Brazil and spoke about the growing relationship between Israel and Brazil. Ron Mazurik, a senior manager at PwC Israel, gave an overview of Brazil’s tax environment, and Eyal Ben-Avi , a partner at PwC Israel, focused on cross-border regulatory issues.  Stay tuned  for details on the next installment of our “Doing Business Globally” series.
